Safety
At Concrete Supply, safety is a commitment by each individual, led by our workforce, supported by our management team, and reflected in our core values. The achievement of our safety goals is a reflection on the professionalism, expertise, and innovation of our employees. We are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment that enables our employees to work without incident.
We desire that all our employees go home safe every day. Through the relentless creation of safe work practices, we will provide a safe working environment for our employees, our customers, and our communities.
Concrete Supply believes the execution of safe production depends on the dedicated ownership of all those we employ, including our managers, workforce, and subcontractors. The achievement of this objective requires that we look out for each other and intervene whenever possible to create a safe work climate. We believe motivation is achieved through the systematic use of consequences for both desired and undesired behaviors.
A commitment to work safely is a condition of employment at Concrete Supply and requires an individual commitment from each member of our team.
Concrete Supply utilizes the SLAM process as a tool to aid our employees in identifying, evaluating, and managing potential risks in the workplace. At the start of each shift or as tasks change throughout the workday, employees utilize the SLAM tool to STOP, LOOK, ANALYZE, and MANAGE workplace hazards. CSI also uses Daily Huddles to communicate risk and engage all workers in our safety process – our daily huddle is a daily visual reminder that we have discussed the risks of the day and outlines what we need to do to work safely.
Concrete Supply also uses the following Safety Best Practices:
