54TH AVE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

This project consisted of replacing a 223'-9"x 24' concrete beam bridge with a 735' x 44' steel girder bridge. The unique features of this project included long bridge spans; 168', 300', and 267'. The steel girders were small, long, slender members and steel erection required an extensive girder erection plan, including numerous falsework towers and multi-crane lifts.
